Hi ibnual aziz ,

more information is needed:

1) Are the laptop and router on the same floor in the house? Are the 2 devices close or far apart?

2) Do you connect via the 2.4 or 5 GHz network? Is the problem present in both cases?

3) What is your Firewall / Antivirus in use?

Go to Device Manager> network adapters, select your network adapter in use, click on the Power Management tab, uncheck the checkbox: Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power. Click on the Advanced tab and disable any options regarding energy saving. If the MIMO Power Save Mode option is present, try setting it to No SMPS.

Try to reset the network:

Settings> Network and Internet> Status, click on Network Reset on the side, follow the instructions.

If that doesn't fix, temporarily uninstall McAfee & smadav via its proprietary removal software. Use Windows Defender when testing.

You must try to change the wireless network card driver by downloading a different version from the one currently in use from the Asus website.
